Mouse ribbon clip

Well I'm trying to fix my bro's Toshiba which had a bad power supply port, but in taking the laptop apart, he must have pulled too hard on one of the ribbons because the little ribbon clip for the mouse clicker is not there. All the other ribbons clipped in, but this one will not stay. I'm wondering if there is some kind of alternative I can use instead of having to search the interent for this little clip that is probably the size of a grain of rice. Anyone have a problem/solution to something like this?
