iTunes alternatives?

Does anyone have good recommendations?

I have tried sharepod and amarok. Amarok I can not seem to install.

Sharepod installs and sees the ipod (touch) but any video it uploads does not appear on my ipod.

Before I start installing programs blindly, does anyone have anything they like?

Can Songbird sync .ipa apps for iPod/iPhone?

I thought songbird dropped support for ipods. I will still check it out though. I have read elsewhere that winamp may be a good alternative as well.
