I have a 9 port hub with a BNC backbone connector. Can I attach a router to the hub (through a RJ45 connection) to distribute IPs? BTW it is for internet sharing.

Yes, you can plug your ethernet cable from the router into the uplink port on the hub. Or if there isn't an uplink port, use port #1. If you do use the uplink port, DO NOT USE PORT #1. It will fubar your whole setup. Use all the other ports first.

Thanks, no more setting up a IP masquerader, for me. Just need to get me a cheapo 2 port router. I always thought it had to go into the uplink, silly me.
