I just made an overclocking chart for myself and though it may be useful for others, this chart is to help w/ overclocking XP chips eg. if you wanted a 2.4GHz speed you can look it up on the chart : 156x15.5=2418 PCI bus=39 DDR=312Mhz or 185x13 PCI bus 37 DDR=370Mhz.........so here it is.
Note :
1. I have an asus a7v8x motherboard so this chart is thus orinetated, though it *should* work for all KT400 mb's (and those w/ NF2 chipset).
2. For DDR speed PC3200 max = 400, PC2700 max = 333. The info on the chart is useful for seeing if faster RAM will help with a higher overclock eg. If you want 175 CPU FSB your RAM speed will be 350 MHz (1:1 ratio) and thus PC2700 will 'hold you back'.
3. This thread will also be posted in ASUS MB's section of these forums due to its relevance to both MB's and CPU's.
4. chart was made in excel but is a bit messed up here due to this text box not being able to expand sideways (only downwards) just count how many rows down the number is and you can equate it with a value the same no. of rows down.
5. The colums are : CPU FSB, PCI/AGP FSB after divider, DDR speed @ this FSB (1:1 ratio) and CPU speed (MHz) at certain multipliers (13-19 for low FSB's, 12-15 for high FSB's......all in 0.5x increments).
6. several speeds w/ xxxx.5 had to be rounded up due to space constraints.
7. CPU FSB's may not be exact in *real life* eg. 132 and 165 FSB's are more commonly 133 and 166.
