The goal: Find a lappy that can play decent games for under $500 shipped...

Here is what i found...

Acer Aspire AS5560G-7809 with Radeon HD 7670

No preference on screen size, Im looking to buy on friday... any thoughts or advise would be helpful...

well its an amd processor hence why it can be so inexpensive. i dont think youll find many intel i5s for that price.

But from what i can see that AMD A6 boosted to 2.0 or 2.5 can keep up with an i3. Granted it may not surpass an i3 but close enough..

no idea, im just stating that unless youll up your price a bit, youll likely be getting an amd. if you're fine with that, thats fine. i am just bringing it up because i know my brother's dual core amd died within a year. this is why i stay away from amd in laptops. he paid a little more than that too.

Yeah, ive had an old Turion x2 forever. Ive never ran an amd in a desktop before... but i know my budget limits me to AMD. But with the A6's APU and turbo boost and the HD 7670's performance..

All i know is i dont want the HD 3000 integrated graphics....
