Super Nade you're supposed to have a test of stability in the SS (3DMark for example), not just a pic of the clocks!

Ok heres my His radeon 4870 oc to 780/1085 (prob can go more but im happy with it as it atm) maybe oc cpu bit more later on as heatsink settles in.

so i fully clocked to the max that ccc allowed me to ran ati tool test artifacting for about 30 mins seemed stable temps were within safe range and re did vantage benchmark not bad not bad at all:

Hmm, this happens to be the only GPU-Z with the correct bandwidth of 140.8 Gig a second. Everyone else must have a 4850, which the number falls between 60 and 75Gig a sec... stock vs oced.. Pretty cool that the 4870 is 100% faster than the 4850... Not bad AMD!

Just got my Saphire HD4870 installed ran 3Dmark 790/950 on stock vid and stock cooling. Cant wait to get another one!! Do the fan fix as soon as you get it ,mine was idling as 70c down to 44c after with fan set at 45%

are you sure u have a 4970 cause u GPU z reading of bandwidth seems low?

I will bet that SN is using the 8/7 Beta's which GPU-z is not compatible with. Mine says the same thing :beer:

The 4000 series in 3DMark06 are super CPU limited with older X2s/Opterons. I have an Opty 185@2880Ghz and I only get 10,700 marks. In all other games the 4870 is well over twice as fast as my 2900XT. I'm very happy.

Whats this about the 1GB 4870s coming out on July 8th (tomorrow)? I just bought a 512MB Diamond today. I'll be ****ed if they're not too much more expensive. I was expecting them to take at least a month to arrive.

Here's mine, Sapphire HD4870 790/1100 Stock volts Stock cooler. I wish someone could teach me the ins&outs of Benching. I only just load it up and click test. There has to be some "secrets" to get better scores. :beer:
