4GB+ on 32bit?

My question is simple.

If you have a 32bit OS and you have 4GB of physical memory installed on your motherboard, will the pc boot up and use 3GB of RAM or it won't boot at all?

It will boot fine as long as the board itself supports 4GB. You just won't be able to access the full 4GB.

Yup, another great trick of mobo sales, "Supports 4GB Ram"

Too bad the OS can't use it.
