I have done a couple of searches on this matter and haven't found an answer, so I thought I would post it. Has anyone compared the cooling and noise of a Delta FFB0812SHE at 7v with an SLK-800 against say a Mechatronics 53 cfm/39 db or Sunon 50 cfm/40 db? I will be using this as a backup for my watercooling.

just bust out that TI-89 and my calculus skills and:
well if it's 45dba it would be reduced to 26dba
40 ---> 23.33
45 ---> 26.25
50 ---> 29.16
55 ---> 32.08
60 ---> 35.00

12V ---> 7V = 41+(2/3)% reduction in noise
12V ---> 5V = 58+(1/3)% reduction in noise
7V ---> 5V = 28.571428% reduction in noise
