I am sure I have seen a thread somewhere but I can't find it. The stupid search does not allow FSB so I typed speed but my efforts were in vain.

Anyway, is there any way to solve it? It makes a high pitch sound when I move my mouse (death adder) and a lower pitch when I scroll. At idle, it crackles, how anyoing.

So, could someone help me on this please?

BF,

It would help to list your whole system hardware. Could be your power supply or other possibilities. Can you pinpoint exactly where it's coming from when you move your mouse?

I'm so sorry

PSU: corsair HX520 (no high pitch noise)
CPU: E6750 @ 1.488volts, 3.5GHz
GPU: MSI 8800GTS 320mb, 622 core, 918 mem
Mobo: ASUS p5k-r (P35 chip)
HDD: seagate 250GB 7200.10 + NCQ
RAM: 2X1GB kingston value RAM @ 873mhz, 5-5-5-12, 1.9volts
Case: Cooler master centrino 5.

Did I miss out anything?

Both front and back sound output creates a high pitch sound whenever I move my mouse, even 1mm. And a buzzing sound when I scroll down google search or ocforums.com, any site actually. Idle, it would have a periodic buzz, higher freq. than when I scroll but lower than my mouse.

Hey BF,

Don't apolgize, just need to know what you have. You have external speakers? Could they be faulty themselves? If you have dual speakers, can you try each one individually? Sounds like electrical interference, probably not catstrophic, just annoying.

I had a problem like that with an old MSI socket 939 MB's onboard sound. I ended up getting frustrated listening to it make noise whenever I moved my mouse, so I picked up an Audigy 4. It solved my problem at the time and I still have the card in my new Intel rig.

(I heard the sound on my headset or speakers, but it only occured on the mentioned system. I haven't seen it duplicated on the other 2 MB's that I've used, but I still opted to run the Audigy 4 instead of the onboard since I already have it.)

:). Yes. 7.1 and senhiser 475 headphone too, which means all slots are used up.
Tried that and it problem is still there.

Regarding the latest thread, I suspect it's my onboard sound but is there anyway I can solve it without buying an exernal card? I plan on buying a 4 slot VGA cooler and I don't have space for it.
