looks like you got it fixed :))
not sure what you did but i'm in just 1 spot now
TY

I am the founder, I can do anything! Muhahahahha.....
Seriously though, it's just a team administer function: Remove Members
I use this mostly when strangers join the team but don't contribute. I like our numbers to reflect those actually crunching.
Just as an FYI to everyone, as a courtesy to anyone who has crunched more than a million points for our team, I do not remove your account. If you sign up to crunch with us again under the same username, you will be building on your previous point totals.
This is why you see 52 total members, but only 33 active members when you view our team at Rosetta@home.
Anyone with a point total of less than 1M and a RAC of .0anything, gets removed.

sorry to say baditude but it looks like i passed you during the day
so now it's just to look at lucas to start chaseing him :p

Note to everyone, feel free to pass me anytime you like ;)
In fact, call some friends and tell them to do it too! I want to see us pass 200K!!!

Well, we finally made the jump to 13th place in total points for work done!
Nice job everyone! We spent a loooooooong time in 14th place, so this is really nice to see.

Yikes! We haven't dropped off the first page in a loooong time. #21 as of today.
I've added a 4770K which should give us a few extra thousand, anyone else?

i joined, added a 2500k @4.5 to the team

That's what I like to hear! I see you on the board! Big Welcome!

I guess it's time to wind down on FAH and see what the new rig can do with Rosetta. (Until the weather gets hot!)

Ok, this is good! I started my 4770k at stock with the same 8GB Ram set I was running with my i5-760 to see how it would compare. Less than 1 week in and I've already surpassed my previous RAC and climbing fast. I'd be really interested to see how we compare. Once I stabilize I'll be clocking this thing up gradually from stock to ~4.5 depending on where my temperatures end up. Right now I'm sitting high 40's, low 50's full load at 25degC (74degF) ambient.

Up to 111.32 RAC already! ;) I don't plan to run 24x7 as ambient temps go up. We're good today but expecting 83°F tomorrow and 87°F Tuesday. I guess I can run while the A/C is on until we're back to the first page. At the moment Rosetta is still competing with the last FAH wu.

I have a mild OC, running at 4.2 GHz on air. It's stable but with worst case loads (P95) temps are in the vicinity of 90°C  With the mix of Rosetta and FAH I'm seeing:
Core 0: +75.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 1: +69.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 2: +70.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 3: +65.0°C (high = +80.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
(according to 'sensors.')

It uses about 1GB per physical core in my experience. Right now running 8 threads I'm using 4.3GB of my total 8GB, which is roughly the same as my old i5-760 running 4 threads.

Here's what I get on Linux on a system with 8GB RAM:

Each core is using about 5.5% of 8GB => 44% of total RAM

hmm i think its funny im in the top 20 RAC with just my i3-370 running 24/7. :p

O hia bad! been while since i visited this section, nice to see you guys putting up a fight!

well on my i5 it's only using like a 1/4 gig per core, 290MB at most, about a gig total

Hmmm, possibly due to settings. I have my BOINC to run "while computer in use", and have set custom cpu and memory usage levels.
Basically it's set so that I leave enough resources to be able to surf the web and do simple tasks unhindered, and so that BOINC never gets interrupted. Has worked well for years now, and I've always had the same levels of memory usage when BOINC has the CPU at 100% load.

Howdy! Good to see you Evil!
We were very recently in the Top10, but a few of our top producers have reduced Rosie production to pursue other projects for a while.
I'm sure we'll be back up there in no time! :)

would it matter at all that i'm using the bionic mini client? because i pretty much gave bionic full access to my resources. 100% on everything. hasn't been really slowing down my computer at all other than stuttering in itunes a little bit.

The only mini that I know of is the minirosetta application that each core runs in order to process work units.
In the case of the current version (3.52), each instance of the application will use between 450 and 500MB of RAM.
