im going to get a 1920×1200 screen, and i love bigger screens, but wont the image look alot better if i get a smaller/medium size one?
i was going to get a 27" but i think that that would be a little to big for that resolution and it wont look that good
whats a good pixel pitch i should try to get?

I think 9120x1200 is good up to about 24", after that it gets a bit pixelated. 27" looks good with 2560x1600. 22": 1680x1050.

:/ i was a little exited about a 27"....
ive never seen a 27" 2560x1600... just 30" ones... and would a 27" 2560x1600 display a small picture?

That's quite a wide monitor you have there :D

I say 1920x1080 for a 22" is optimal now.
I'm still waiting on 2560x1600 to come out for 26" monitors, going to look sweet!

thats what i thought... but someone said something about one earlier in this thread.....

if you want stupid high rez look at dell's and samsungs 23incher 2048x1156rez monitor... both use the same pannel... both have horid backlight bleed and crap tastic color uniformity and color reproduction... but hey you get your stupid high rez.

Correct size pixel pitch is a very subjective subject, and VERY HEAVILY DEPENDENT ON YOUR VIEWING DISTANCE!

example #1:
Many laptop displays have a pixel pitch of 0.2mm or less because they are designed to be viewed from a very small distance.

example #2:
Many of our senior (in age) members often discuss their desire for higher pixel pitch (0.3mm or larger) due to their deteriorating eye sight. (no dis-respect intended:p)

example #3:
I bought a 32" Sharp Aquos with a 0.42mm pixel pitch a couple years back, and it was the best monitor I've ever used.....IF, I sit back an view it from a distance. If I lean forward at my desk, the individual pixels become visible, and the overall effect is not so good. http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=525592&highlight=miahallen

Maybe "ive never seen a 27" 2560x1600... just 30" ones... and would a 27" 2560x1600 display a small picture?"

Should read the threads more carefully
