Run chkdsk like ATM said, then get your data off that drive.
There's no telling if the drive will last for a while, or die tomorrow.

Thank for all your help guys one last thing...when I try to run the chkdsk it say I don't have sufficient privilages and need to run in elevated mode?

Yep, hit the windows key, type in cmd then press crtl and shift then press enter. (While holding crtl and shift)

Than click "yes" on the prompt.

Now run chkdsk :)

thanks it says it will run next time windows loads.il deffo be ordering a new hdd lol:)

Hi guys ive ordered my new hdd off ebay so in the meantime im going to run a few hdd programs to attempt to recover the sectors. Is there anyway I can identify the failing sector number so a can start the scans in that region.?

Yep, run MHDD and it will display the failing sectors.... while it scans for them.

So yeah, there isn't really an easy way that I am aware of. :-/

Why are you trying to recover the sectors? The hard drive will remap/move bad sectors to a reserved area. This is done internal automatically.

The SMART data you posted is worrying as there are a lot of issues the drive is having. Make sure you have a backup of critical data now in case the drives dies or gets worse before the replacement arrives.

Thanks guys and all im trying to do is make the drive more stable/usable for the next few days until the new Seagate hdd arrives.I backed up last night.:)
