Was the board I originally had when I bought it he's going home.

*edit* Even still have the accessories, looked around and still had the box with some things in it from way backm when I had an unfortunate incident at the time before I bought the open box P6T7 after that :p

Have many old goodies laying around, bought a few things to rebuild it for in there, slap the old low noise TRUE copper slab on em, with the Noctuas :)

And various old stuff, all ready had the Chip, RAM, an old EVGA 260 GTX, Caviar Black HD 500, etc, figured WTH.

Might as well make a mid sized wireless HTPC with it for in there.

That and slap 8.1 in here and stick Windows 7 on it in there.

Might even take that second EVO on here and put er in there.

I plan on doing some things when the stuff comes in on this little baby, put up a few pics, and a few of the current rig.

Haven't in awhile, it's evolved quite a bit.

Is this for an HTPC? Nice snag... but I would have went with something like a dual core simply because it is an HTPC type thing... You can also edit posts instead of triple posting. ;)

Yeah I know should have but was being lazy sorry.

And was getting late and a few beers were involved in the planning process at that time, he he. Maybe more than a few.

I have the old 920 D0 I took out of here just laying there after I put the L5639 in here recently, so basically was making use of it as a HTPC.

Is what the main rig does in the family room half the time also.

I'm going to go Medieval old school on this thing :)

Might even stick a couple old Raptor 150s in it in RAID0 for an OS to see how it works just for old times sake, used to get good performance out of those things.

But probably not, probably migrate an SSD in there, no reason to go that old school.

I think I'm going to build air flow backwards and have everything except the top go outwards, and put a piece of black air filtering just on top of the intake at the top that can easily be picked up and cleaned anytime.

I'm a gonna have some fun this thing.

Wow, I'm going to send this guy a big thank you and a top end write up, if it works.

I'm sure it will the P6T looks like it came straight from the factory, and had all the goodies with it.

Even the little fans people rarely use, seriously, this thing looks brand new and even has the quick connects etc.

I'm a happy camper and taking my time setting this thing up, should be great for the other room even if the wife likes her old 9650 setup she inherited and doesn't want an upgrade.

All ready filled the little HAF 912 full of 8 quiet, nice fans, but found a few others might adjust with.

I used to test em a lot still had many nice ones laying about.

I'm taking my time playing around a bit this will be a fun old/new school build.

This thing running nicely atm, even had the wife using the little wireless keyboard on it. It's not even set up in the bedroom yet and I think she's all ready hooked.

And she's the one usually throwing a bit of wife agro, she seems a bit impressed he he.

I was a bit worried at first when building, I thought a few socket pins looked bent but it fired up and is running nicely.

It has pretty good optical sound, runs great. But even running over SP/DIF on the same system as the big one does, I detect a very noticeable difference in sound quality than the one installed in the main rig.

So all the people that say not having a discrete soundcard makes a diference using digital sound, phhhhhpft.

Went old school and put a couple old Raptors in RAID 0 on it, with a Caviar Black 500 that was laying around too for storage, and its surprisingly fast still.

I am still rocking my P6T with same 920 cpu and its been the best pc investment yet, next to the good old 8800 GTX.
