I also remember the Amigas although I never had one. I still have my Commodore C64c...hmmmm (thinking).

One reason the Amiga was dismissed as a gaming machine was it originally was one. The platform CBM built the Amiga from was originally used in a Japanese gaming machine that was never imported to the U.S.
 
Necro, but I could not resist!

I remember my Amiga 500 with the second floppy (to copy cracked games!), and the 512KB ram extension!

Amazing machine! ANd what a step up compared to the Amstrad CPC 6128 I was having before...

Edit: and the demos from the "scene" were amazing!
