Dongle-less crossfire on X800/X850 cards?

Since recent catalysts allow for dongle-less crossfire on "low end cards" does it work on the X800/X850 series? It might not be worth it, but I have a couple of very high clocking modded X800 GTO2s and I was wondering whether they would function together to tide me over till a DX10 card.

I dont think so, I think all the older cards all have to have a master card/ slave card etc

Because unlike SLi, Crossfire's core logic is on the card and not the board

Supposedly Cat 6.11 and newer enables CF on identical cards that are not X1800/X1900, I would try it and see what happens.

Yeah, on the x1k series only... The x series dont have the hardware to do dongle-less crossfire

Unfortunately for the X800/850 series you need a master/slave card arrangement.
