So we have two Polk owners in this thread. Interesting. I wonder if Polk hits a performance/price point that resonates with the users on this forum? Right now the data sample is too small to draw a conclusion.

I know I'm looking at these:

As to the original topic, I'm still working on getting everything set up for a photo op. I wish I could get a good weekend.

They are unbeatable at the price range, the entire Monitor line is discontinued (last year iirc) but I beleive Polk still makes them for newegg and maybe a few other companies. I had their monitor line on my HT setup, and I learned the Monitor 40's use the same woofers and tweeters as the floor standing ones did, so I had to get them for my desk. They are easily the best "computer" speakers I have heard, hehe. It helps to have a good quality receiver and sound card with a toslink connection.

Here's mine, sorry for the mess and the pictures quality, was taken with my girl's digital camera. The desk was actually in the home that I moved to but I'm in the process of looking for a new one, maybe from IKEA. The HDtv/Monitor is a Vizio 1080p 37inch (I thought the size was just right for how I use my PC, I have a 55 inch in the living room so the 37 inch is just for the PC).

The first two are my work space at work and the second is at home. I know the home one is a little small, but it's all I have right now.

Desk I built. 1" MDF construction with laminated surfaces. It breaks down into 3 pieces to make moving it possible. Full wire management, filtered power (helps with audio), separate speaker wire paths, and built in Ethernet and power. ATI eyefinity for 3 monitor gaming, 5 speaker surround setup, and a KVM for fixing other computers (on 2nd keyboard and mouse). Speakers: Polk Audio Monitor 40's, Polk Audio CS10 center, Klipsch KG-4 as surrounds.

That is the sickest set-up that I have ever seen.
