9700 pro AIW problems

My friend has a problem with his 9700 pro AIW. He says there's vertical streaks going from top to bottom, and causes streaking to occur when anything passes through those streaks (Say, if he were to move window through them). There is also artifacting while playing games and a trianglular plane with one point in the center of the screen radiating outwards. He also notes that his ram is unbelievably hot. Ramsinks and underclocking from stock speeds has not helped. He is using Radeon Omega Drivers 2.6.42 (Catalyst 5.6).
