Connection Speeds

Here's the connection at the school i'm at, however, when downloading from any where I get a better download speed at home than I do here.


My home connection:


I get about 150kb/s at home when donwloading and 130kb/s from school.

Are you allowed to host servers on that bandwidth? I'd put my web server on that line, and stream music from my file server to my phone wherever I am.

Of course, you don't need insane upload speeds, but 1Mbit upload is really pushing it for streaming music .

I am getting 36625KB/2 down and 14948Kb/s up. To bad that this is at work and I can't use any of it for anything but work.

im having ADSL issues at home right now. keeps losing sync, so i called the isp to drop the speed a bit more. now it syncs at 8mbit down and only 700kbit up.. bummer. i used to upload at 1mbit with my adsl2+ but for some reason the line has degraded :/
