Hey guys. I'm switching over from AMD to Intel and can't seem to decide for which motherboard to go. I'd appreciate your input on it.
I had a great experience on this forum, especially with help from Johan45. Such a great guy. x)

I'll be getting i7 4790k
http://ark.intel.com/products/80807/Intel-Core-i7-4790K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_40-GHz
And was thinking one of these motherboards:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VII_GENE/overview/

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z97PROWiFi_ac/overview/
or a cheaper version:

I already have
Kingston HyperX Beast 2x8 - http://www.kingston.com/en/hyperx/memory/beast
Was not easy to OC it with a AMD FX8350 and Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
My whole OC thread is here if anyone interested in it:http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=744968

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

I would not recomend that version of the Killer

The Gene is clearly the best board of the linked boards by a long shot

Would not recomend it if you are looking into a dual GPU solution though.

I got Gene couple of days ago and so far I see no problems with this board. Also network card is slightly improved Intel what at least for me is much better option than Killer NIC.

All ROG boards require some knowledge to overclock if you don't want to run any auto profiles but it's one of the best choices on the market and if you know what are you doing then you will be for sure satisfied.

ASRock Z97M OC Formula will be probably as good for you as M7 Gene but will be cheaper. ASUS has couple of options that you can use during extreme overclocking but for everything else ( even high overclock on air/water ) ASRock Z97M OCF will be also good ( that's if you aren't planning multi GPU setup ).

Kingston Beast series is performing really good and shouldn't be any issues on ASUS or ASRock boards. I made review some of this kit but it was on Ivy Bridge:

On Haswell it should overclock better. Maybe up to 2600 11-13-13 or something near.

I'm running a single GPU right now, and it is a old one - GTX 480.
I am planning for future to go 2x GTX 680, so looking into future a bit, which one would be recommended?

I'd go Gene or the Z97A, whichever is the cheaper of the 2. Again if you're not going for super high clocks, either board will do you just fine. Both boards will clock very nicely tho.
