LET THE PRICE DROP BEGIN!

Microcenter has dropped the price of Conroe 2 Duo E6700 by $200! Was $599, now is $399. Here's the special ad from Microcenter. It looks like a 3 day sale.

On-line purchase is $399 for OEM E6700 Processor. Check it out

This isn't the price drop hitting. Microcenter has put several of the C2D models on sale like this before. They had $100 off on the 6400 just a couple weeks ago.

Realistically, we're about a month away from the drop still.

Anyone know if the Xeon processors are going to enjoy the same kind of drastic price drop in April?

I read the Xeon where the 1st to be cut in April and then C2D was added in the price cuts as well.

SORRY FOR THE FALSE ALARM.

I woke up this morning and I read an email subject line "$...200 off E6700 processors." I pull the FIRE ALARM thinking it's here, it's finally here!!!

Oh well, let me crawl back into my dark hole and sleep. Maybe someone can do the honors and pull that FIRE ALARM when it offically arrives
