This projector is so tempting

Man, I've been tempted to get a projector for years, and someone over on AVS posted this thing up there as Mitsubishi are getting out of that line of things and selling em off cheap.

I've spent enough myself recently on things, and the wife really would strangle me if I did with a nice working 47 inch in there, but thought I'd post it for anyone maybe interested due to the drastic price cut on it at the moment.

Hadn't even thought about the 4K on those, even if the thread is getting old would be a good idea to wait for that to even consider it these days I guess.

Sony's 4K projectors have been around since at least 2007. At the time, they were going for a good $100k+. For the early days of digital theaters, they gave a lot of options that were pretty much ahead of their time and, naturally, no one took advantage of.

While I like the idea of projectors for those with space issues or just want sheer size, I'd still opt for direct viewing, preferably OLED whenever they figure that out.
