queston about an ATI radeon GPU

yes i have a quick question i just purchase an AtI radeon HD 2400xt gpu and i am wondering do i have to download the drivers first or do i just plug the card in and then hook my screen up to it
a step by step would be great as i am new to the tech world

The system will probably boot up fine and you will have image. Then install "newest driver" for the old GPU for the best "performance" possible.
 
I'd recommend downloading the drivers for the new card first. Wouldn't hurt to uninstall your old drivers as well before you shut the machine down and remove the 2400XT. Then install the video card, boot system, install new drivers, and reboot again.
