Best Bang for the Buck for laptops?

In terms of overall performance, battery life and size, what do you guys think is the best bang for the buck? I have had a hard time deciding on what to go with, considering building a laptop is out of the question for now. Here are a few that I have looked at

I looked at both of those laptops, but you can get a 8600GT with the new Dell 1520 that just came out yesterday! Check it out at dell.com. It's a VERY stacked laptop for ~$1500 with all the options added.
