Well i think my cpu fan died on my 700m. specs on bottom. I don't understand cuz it spins and all in the bios and some what in windows, but speedfan has it idling under 65C.

Could there be any program/virus to affect fan, or give it crazy temperatures? ( i don't think so but always worth asking.

now to replace this fan do i have to replace the whole heatsink or can i just replace just the fan?

EDIT:

according to that image, found on ebay, the fan looks replaceable. just gotta find that kind of fan.

If the fan is working, the fan is working  You don't need to replace it...

Try updating the BIOS.
