Tried a 9700 Pro, and a Ti4600, but freakish crashing on each card!

That's not what I meant. I'd just hold off and enjoy it for a while.

When I first replaced my 9700 Pro with a Ti4600 (had problems with the radeon), I was bothered because the 9700 Pro was so much faster. But now I'm very happy with my Ti4600, because it's fast enough (for me, anyway).
 
Definitly send the stick back for another of the same. Corsair is as good as it gets. Don't settle for a lesser brand. Your chances of getting 2 bad sticks from them is VERY minimal, almost 0.

As for the 9700 pro, it will allow you to run AA, AF and DX9. Is that worth $88 to you? If not the keep the Ti4600 its a great card.
