Radeon HD 6950 vs 7850?

I'm making a build and,these cards are within my budget. I am looking to play bf3, Arma 2 on max settings. My resolution is 1600 x 900

Is there a huge difference with the cards or will they preform the same? Do the Pci express ports affect anything with gameplay?

The PCIE 2.0 vs 3.0 won't do a whole lot no.

Out of the two; HD 7850 is the faster card; and more power efficient with newer tech. Easy choice.

Both will max any game at 1600x900 anyway.

the 7850 is a really good overclocker as well, iirc. Amazon, tigerdirect, and other stores have deals from time to time.

I googled the comparison and I did see that it required more power
200 watts to 130 watts
Will I have to get a better power source then? I'm going to buy a 600w one.

Hmm, I am seeing that the 7850 is getting the better frames, I might wait till they restock. The card, that could take weeks!

What Power Supply are you looking at? In fact; what's your entire build? Sounds like you're building a new system altogether?

Nice. Kay. Looks good then. Yeah that PSU is fine for either card. (It'll probably even run 2 HD 7850s if you wanted it to. No worries.)
