Well I can give you one piece of advice, If this is a gaming rig, I don't see why you'd ever need 32gb of memorry. I don't see why you would need more than 8gb, could save you some money.

Thanks for the reply.
If I may pick your brain, why just 8 gigs of memory opposed to 16 or 32? I would think more is better. What type of latency should I be looking at for gaming. Lower the better yes but..

thanks again :)

Well for several reasons, filling up your memory slots can make it harder to OC. Also, I believe the more memory you have the more you stress your chipset. All in all though, you shouldn't need that much for a gaming rig unless you plan on doing some Heavy multitasking and things of that nature. If you really can spend whatever go for it, but I believe you could save some cash and not notice a real difference in performance.

Cool , thanks for that :)
this is now my choice of ram.

8 gig's, WAY less in price and a fairly good latency. yes/no?

the video card is a whole other story. ..
3X460 or 2X560 series video cards while waiting on the 680 series?
I have a 460 in my current computer for like $100 a card would it be any good in triple? Or how about 2 560's.
I'm using this as a guide.

thanks again :)

Yea that memory looks fine, I like ripjaws and yes i'd use a couple cheaper cards while you wait on the card you want. While I'm not the best one on video card advice, it would seem to me to make more sense sticking with the 460 since you already have one.

Also, since you saved money on the memory may I suggest that you take that SSD you picked out and switch to a sataIII instead of a sataII. SSD's will actually benifit on the sataIII speeds.

Unfortuntaly I have the SSD already as I got it for $300 on newegg a few weeks ago.
Oh well. I didnt see a gskill SATA III.

I'll be putting in a order by months end and will post pictures of my build :)
thanks for all your advice :)

SO I have gone with 2 480's :) water cooled by Danger Den :))
And the box is the cooler Master Haf X. I got it today and stripped it, it's going in for nickle plating Wednesday. I have pics and will put them is some sort of format and post them. I may do a build video when everything is here and ready.

Now my question is this :
Is there a difference between SLI connectors?
I've seen alot out there anywhere from $6 to $100'S
is there a difference and could some one point me to a good dealer.

thanks
