Strange problem

Hi guys well im not new to computers i usually know my stuff but this has bugged me

i have a gf4ti 4800 and sometimes i play soldier of fortune 2 online i run with syn on so i get a constant 60fps dont need any more but recently in any action it's dropping to 10 or 20 fps and jerking like mad its real annoying ive tried multiple drivers didnt fix it like i said im not new to computers but gfx cards aint my strong point does anybody have any ideas?

Your card could be having slowdown, as its not realy a top of the line card. Games get newer and require better cards. I would say pick up a 9700pro or a 9800np, it will be around $225 but you will never see low fps like that.
