I've tried looking, but haven't found an answer.

I've even PM'd a couple of peeps with no luck.

What is the difference between a skt 775 & skt M?

Pin count per`si?

6320 & 6300 - M & 775?

same same with the 64xx's ?

Tried over @ the egg for mobo compairisons
but no skt M are listed.

This just leads me to believe there is no difference.
except "name" Server cpu & "Desktop" cpu.

Appreciate any knowledge you can pass along.

i've never heard of a socket M.

nowadays they don't call em socket, at least not for intel. cuz the pins are in the board, they call them LGA or land grid array, ie LGA 775.

*edit* looking at that wiki, i don't know if mobile parts are still socketed.

Socket M's are the mobile Memron and core solo CPU's they have a different product numbering system then the desktop CPU's begining with a T and they have pins. Its not really an offical socket.. its the new socket 479 IIRC.

Ah, ok.

I did look @ wiki, but no info there.

I thought the M was "Server" (6420's) cpu's & 775's(6400) Desktops.

I wasn't able to find different mobos over @ the egg.
