Very low FPS with ATI 6850

I cant get above 26 FPS in Unigine Heaven Benchmark at normal settings. This doesn't seem right. Nothing is OC'd, system is as follows:

ASUS Crosshair IV MOBO
AMD X6 1090T
V6 GT CPU cooler
ATI Diamond 6850
2X WD Caviar black 650G (RAID 0 config)
4G Corsair Dominator
875w Thermaltake
Windows 7; 64

Any thoughts?? Am I missing something?? Thanks in advance.

Oh. Okay. I haven't used the feature TBH. Could be your ram or could be it wants crossfire.

Any other thoughts, or is it just a RAM issue you think??? Cant imagine it being a dual GPU concern, most top end GPU's shell out 35+ FPS by themselves.......

what resolution are you running the bench at? and have you oc'd your CPU at all?

at 1920*1080 the 6850 got 30fps average and 16fps min in this review: http://techgage.com/article/sapphire_radeon_hd_6850_toxic/9

they used an i7 at 4ghz, which will seriously outpace your cpu if you are running it at less than 4.2-4.4ghz.

long story short, your results seem about right, provided you are running 1920*1080.

I am running it at 1920x1080. No OC on anything (CPU or GPU). Thanks for that link, makes me feel better, I just thought it was a low, but I guess not lol.

Is your concern low FPS in general, or low fps only in this specific benchmark?

The results do seem about right for your hardware, but keep in mind that very few games use this engine. I think there is only 1 game that uses it, a Russian MMO. Then there's two other games in development afaik, by Unigine Corp itself. Haven't heard of any other game company that is planning on using it for anything.
