Anybody have tips for fast leveling.

1 handed combat

1 magic

1 sneak

and when is a good level to start killing dragons i never win

1H combat, just gotta keep using 1H weapons. Then use your perks on the 1H upgrade that deal more damage. especially if you use 1H wepaons like me.

I suggest getting Dawnbreaker. I'm using it now, since I was around level 10 or 15 (Can't remember) Deals fire damage and it makes undead flee for a bit, and damages them. And it looks awesome too :D

Magic.. I use restoration spells all the time, so that's what I use to train my magic anyway.

Sneak. Easy way is to alert an enemy, then sneak away and hide. OR Sneak up to them and attack.

Dragons: I wait till they land, then slice, slice, slice. Then I use fast healing or the first healing spell - quite often. Dragons take a while, and they get harder as you level up too. Invest in good armour and weapons.

Fun fun game, I started playing a few weeks ago. I'm only level 25, but the amount of quests is ridiculous. And I don't even have the expansions yet. :p

Make use of the shrines first of all. Sneak is one of the easiest skills to level, especially if you like a stealth playstyle. You'll hit 100 long before any other skill. While sneaking, kill people from behind with a one handed weapon. I like to use daggers, as they are totally silent, but you can use what you want. You gain more 1H exp when sneaking and killing.

Magic, particularly destruction, is one of the hardest to level unless you are very dedicated to doing so. As with any other skill that's rather difficult to level, make good use of the trainers. You can be trained for 5 skill levels each character level, but you will have to grind it out for the last few. This will help a lot. There are also skill books to help as well, but save them for higher levels. Keep a follower and have them pick up the book because if you pick up the book, you will automatically read it. You can transfer it to your character without reading it and shelve it somewhere for later reading. Get a list from one of the Syrim wikis.

There is no particular level you need to be at to kill dragons. Usually while playing, you will notice fighting monsters becomes significantly easier. The game can be a little tough at first, but as you raise your skill levels and find better gear, you'll notice the length of time before you die is extended greatly. This is about the right time. For skills, focus on your primary skills and do not try to be a jack of all trades. Work on secondary skills later. As for gear, you don't need top level gear, but smithing your stuff will help quite a bit.

There are some other tips & tricks that take advantage of game mechanics, but I won't spoil it for you. You can level up rather quickly early on. The game is long enough that if you do the quests and explore everything, you'll end up at level 70-80 faster than you think while still enjoying the game regardless if you have maxed skills.

My advice is to activate the warrior stone and get to smithing. Then make yourself some nice weapons before you go out fighting. They will give you an upper hand.

When working on sneak, make sure you have the thief stone active.
The warrior stone for one-handed, and the mage stone for magic.

One of the things I do for more difficult skills is to train with one of the teachers, then save and pick pocket my money back. It makes the skills cost 0, and if you have the thief stone active while doing this, then you'll most likely level up your pick pocket skill at the same time which makes the character level go buy very quickly.

im on level 9 i like that pickpocket idea chance. And i will look for those shrines. I use to play on xbox but my xbox broke a long time ago. So i picked this game up on summer sale and put 7+ hours which is alot for me. I been playing late and night and paying for it then having random dreams of skyrim HA

I always play the same character. Orc with heavy armor, max smithing, 2 handed battleaxe. Run around just destroying everyone.

I play with deadly dragon mod, enhanced AI combat mod. Those really make the playing different. I also use restoration.

Training Sneak is easy - just sneak and autowalk into a corner :D

1 handed and magic? I didn't have a set training method, I just went out and did the whole dragonborn thing.

You can level sneak very fast. Go to Whiterun find the second guard barracks wait until around 10pm all the guards will go to sleep enter the room stealthed and walk back and forth.

Magic it depends on the type.

Alteration go to the same place(or any place with a large number of npcs) as sneak and cast Detect Life over and over.

Illusion spam Clairvoyance or dual cast Muffle

Restoration Repel Undead find a place with several skeleys cast they run away you regen mana repeat.

Conjuration dual cast soul trap on a dead body

The most used shrine is right outside the place where you start the game. It's almost right next to Embershard Mine. There are there stones, and between the three, I believe they cover all possible skills.

Is there any good loot in it or any quests related to it?

OP- 1 tip I have is about potions. There are potions on display everywhere in Skyrim. Especially in specialist potion shops. Some shops have 20 or more potions on display that you can steal when the shopkeep isn't looking. Crouch and make sure the eye symbol on the screen is closed to indicate nobody sees you, then start stealing.

You can also hold the pick up key and carry an item to another room and steal it there.

Potions and other things you steal from stores or people's homes tend to regenerate after awhile, so you can rob the same store 100 times in any given playthrough of the game. I never pay for potions. I have like 160 potions of minor healing.

Also, player.modav carryweight 9999 is your friend. Get over the stupid 300 pound carry limit. Press ~ then key that in.

Also, coming up against powerful mages is one of the biggest challenges in Skyrim. Some of them can smoke you in 1 or 2 hits. Make sure you carry potions like "resist fire/resist magic" and learn your ward spells early. It's wise to make the college of winterhold an early place to visit, go north east from Windhelm around the mountains then turn back Northwest. You can't miss it.

And remember, learning new spells is as simple as reading spell tomes (books). You can find them or buy them. In the first location in the game (Helgen) within 5 minutes of starting to play you can pick up a spell in the dungeon under the courtyard in one of the locked cells. I believe it's sparks, a spell that is like the jedi lightning the emperor shoots out in Return of the Jedi. If you stick with Destruction magic you'll learn spells like fireball, lighting bolt, lightning storm, etc, that do major damage. You would be wise to work up your bow and arrow skills as well, as once these are really high you can do insane damage with arrows.

Steal a lot! Buy a little.

There aren't any quests in embershard that I know of. Or really and good loot. I was just using it as a reference to where the three stones are located.

Ps. Finally got my enchanting to 100 today. Smithing: Check. Enchanting : Check. Alchemy: No check. :(

Sneak archer is incredibly overpowered. You can sneak into dungeons and take everyone out without alerts going up. At higher levels, you flat out kill anything with one shot, even "bosses". Run with a companion to make it harder; they get in the way and pull stuff like an idiot.

Yeah, especially if you go with the Dark Brotherhood. I think I got some gloves that increase the backstab damage x3. So, I literally just used a dagger and bow and snuck around the entire game. I got the skill to do a barrel roll while sneaking and I could kill those dragon priests by silently rolling up to the opposite side of the coffin they'd get out of and hit them with my dagger for 30x damage and kill them instantly.

Bow would nearly kill anything instantly... 15x damage while sneaking, but I only used iron and ancient nord arrows. :D

You can get some pretty stupid bows. There is a bug you can exploit to get your enchanting crazy high to get even higher damage. That one was not using any bugs, though.

How do you get bow damage so high like that? My archery skill has always been low in all my playthroughs but I havent seen a bow that can do more than 25 damage :(.
Been a long time since I did that. Pretty sure it was with crafting/enchanting potions to up my skill. I'm also fairly sure the enchant on that is broken. The individual enchants were for ~64 each, but putting them both on doubles them.

Conjuration is also very easy. Use soul trap on a dead mudcrab and you will level up very quickly.

Of course, the noob alternative is to install the leveler's tower mod.
