Hello all its been awhile since i have posted , i have a few Question and that are

1) want to sell my Cross-Fire Sapphire how much should i sell them for

2) i want to go back to Nvidia what card should i get that on Par with the cross-fire 4890

3) or what would be a good trade for the Cross-Fire

Thanks Roger

4890s are going for about 100-115 used fully functional on ebay.
some guy on craigs list wanted 160 each for his 2 :-O

it is hard to get a New one, so if a user has a need or great preferance for one, it could now be concidered a "rare" item :)

good luck with your switch, one thing you wont have to deal with Ati drivers :)

you got the link to the ones on criagslist i want to check it out

Hmmm $140 , just gonig to stink to pull them out of the PC to get pics of them
i know i can get a 9800 GX2 for alittle over $100 i dont know how they fold
but the reason why im asking im tired of folding slow and it takes forever

Yeah, any cuda capable nvidia card with >96 shaders would out fold a 4890. It sucks, because the 4890s are AWESOME cards. I had a pair of them in crossfire once upon a time, killer setup.

A couple GTX 460s would blow your 4890 experience out of the water with some savings from opting out the GTX 480.

that would be sweet if i can get someone to buy them lol
also i have a motherboard that only Supports xfire
so 2xGTX 460s will kill the tri 4890's thats good news
i know it will kill in folding thats for sure

You may want to take this information in to consideration.

Your specific MB model is not listed, but there are quite a few 790FX chipsets listed.

Edit: the 258.xx forceware is not supported yet. Keep an eye out though if you are interested. It sounds like support will come very soon.

ok i think im overwhlemed but i dont see nothing there about
if it dont work isnt gonig to fork my motherboard cause i font have the funds
to replace that ,i got to get busy posting these 4890's for sale

I would not be concerned about damage to the system board using the tools.

It is software; worst case scenario is you reinstall windows.

wow im scared not, i format my PC like every two months so it no biggie

Tri 4890 is going to stomp dual 460 in everything but folding.
In dx9 and dx10 the 460 is ~10% faster then a 4890, and almost twice as expensive.
4890 can't do dx11 of course.
You could sell the crossfired 4890 for about the price of one 460, which is a downgrade.
IMO the 4890 is the best current bang/buck, they're cheap and brutally powerful.
I would hold on to them till the ATI 6xxx series comes out, that'll drive the gtx4xx series (and ati 5xxx) down in price and make them a better buy.
