UPDATE: Today, I just received my polycarbonate plexi-glass from my dad's work. It's a 3/16" plexi so it's pretty thick. Anyway, I'm waiting for the weather to warm up a bit before I actually start modding my rig.

Very nice so far, I like it.
Curious about the window thing...keep us updated.

I kinda have the polycarbonate not directly on the side panel there in the pic. Lol. It's going to either look probably like the first picture. But I also have room to make the window bigger (and it won't show most of the HAF logo except only the left upper part of the H) if I decide to not use my 5.25" bays and create a custom 5.25" bay for my CD/DVD drive.

UPDATE: Today, I also went to a local metal shop to look at prices for a sheet of .302 aluminum metal. And it was only $9 for a 48x24 inch sheet. Haven't bought it yet but I might have to for that price. With that one sheet, I can create my false floor, a GPU back-plate, expand the MB tray, create a custom 5.25" drive bay, a custom HD bay under the drive bay, and possibly make a front grill if I place a 240mm RAD in the front. Possibilities are endless. :comp:

Also...I just updated my "To Do List".

Question Time: Should I flip left and right panels around and install the window mod in the now "left" side panel (originally right)? I think it would look cleaner that way.

I have finally found a project name for this mod of mine. The name is ひかり a.k.a Hikari (meaning "light" or "shining"). Since I'm going to extend the mobo tray to the front of the case, I was thinking about putting the name (in Japanese) in the open space. Also, I thought long and hard about flipping the side panels around, which I'm going to do.

UPDATE: Today, I went to a local auto parts store and bought a few things for this build. I bought 2 cans of self-etching primer, 1 can of chrome, 2 cans of metalcast ground coat, 2 cans of metalcast anodize blue, 16' of chrome door trim, and two 10" white led strips. I also when to a local metal store and bought .032 aluminum for my false floor, GFX card backplate, and extension of motherboard tray.

I'll post some pics of the materials in a little bit.

My project is coming to a close here pretty soon. I created a false floor, created SSD bracket, made backplate for my GPU, cut out and installed window in side panel, painted interior of case. I'll post pics when I get my entire system installed.

Very nice man!
I will post a build log soon, most likely next month.
Getting some modding supplies and parts soon...Flase floor? What do you mean exactly?
I will do a psu cover which will conceal two 120mm rads in the bottom and the psu cables...

***This post is semi-pic heavy*** This is going to be my last post (for a while) of my project log......because my project is done for the time being. :attn: I'll post up the pics from beginning to end (I didn't take pics during the painting process because I had a few pieces to paint within a 10 minute window between each coat).

If you guys have any questions about my build I'll be happy to answer them.

Wow, you really need that extra fan for push air onto the arctic cooling? They make almost no sound as it and cool really well! But looks cool with the blue inside.

The fan at the bottom is for watercooling. I'll be just getting a universal gpu block and leaving my stock vram cooler on it. It would look silly having empty holes. Lol. Thanks.
