Newbie to Seti

OK I basically read the instructions and jumped on the Seti team here.

Any tips or advise for running a quad with ht i7?

Does Seti produce more under VGA NV GTX480 vs i7 3770K?

Are there any specific tweaks for W7 for better PPD? (if there is even ppd lol)

And ya, have no clue, any tips help and pointers welcome.

Grab the Lunatics optimization tool to enhance your output.
Instead of PPD we use RAC, Recent Average Credit, and since it is an average it will change slowly over time, figure on about 21 days of steady crunching for it to stabilize.

lunatics is definitely the way to go. pay attention when you install as there
are optimized clients for 4**, 6** series etc. you'll want to leave a physical core free to keep your GTX 480 fed.

[edit] don't know how the 480 compares to CPU, but i don't even bother with CPU crunching. CUDA or nothing for me.
