ASUS Transformer t-100 boot from usb issue

I work at a school district that just bought 150 ASUS T-100 Transformers. We are trying to get them to boot from USB so we can re-image them without all the bloatware. Problem is we can't get them to boot UEFI from USB.

They are running Windows 8.1

It seems that this is a common problem. ASUS is worthless as far as tech support. Microsoft is clueless as well.

So any help, ideas, or suggestions would be great (yes I have already thought about using them as targets) and no the tech dept did not make the decision to buy these, it came from higher up.

Go into the bios and disable secure boot?

If you have no other option, pulling the drives and mass imaging them on a dedicated system wouldn't be terribly inefficient.

Well it's a tablet so I don't think that would be efficient.

That said, you definitely should be able to boot from USB.
