i thought 4x HTT was good through 201-250 fsb.

anything higher then 250 u would have to drop HTT to 3x?

I can go further, im trying to, but its hard, does anyone know if 1.51 is better for oc?

Has anyone else tried switching to the older "Advanced Configuration and Power Interface(ACPI) PC" hal? I swapped this back and forth a couple times recovering with ASR both times and noted that the default hal(ACPI Uniprocessor PC) seemed to be limiting OC more than the older ACPI hal. I'd love to try it with ACPI off completely but I cannot get XP32 or XP64 to install with it off. Perhaps someone with PATA drives would have more luck with ACPI off. I started on this avenue when I noticed there seems to be no consistency with BSODs when I try to stabalize 270x10. IOW it seems like it's an ACPI problem. The fact that you can test overclocks quickly by simply booting into XP64 b1218 and waiting for the system event log machine check error message to appear only seems to confirm this suspicion. The testing continues...

yea man, wasnt really planning on doin the oc thing until summertime with this new comp, bu 2.4ghz what the hey, why not right? anyhoo so thats where im at and i prolly only want to get to understand the rest of the settings in the bios, disable what i dont need and figure out a way that when i pull the jumper on a non boot... i can stil lget all my settings back without having to go thru all the menus. cuz that really annoys me, setting boot priority, turnin off the logo etc.

This board has a very effective safe mode it goes into if you fail to boot, shut it down, and restart while holding the insert key down. Good thing too since that CMOS reset jumper is in such a horrid spot. I've only had to use it once myself. Just in case you were unaware.

nice! I did not know the good ole' hold the insert key worked on this board... I actually made a header for my cmos jumper and brought it out the front of case behind my front usb header door.

I stuck a momentary switch on mine to0 since that jumper is so poorly located then I was working on an old XP333r and decided to give the insert key a shot on the Neo2 and it worked like a charm. :)

I don't have a computer yet, so I hope it's alright if I post my in progress rig.
