Announcing: Core Countdown!!

What: Cinebench 11.5 contest
Who: anyone
Cpu: Any cpu. Any number of cores. (≤ 8)
Cooling: Any
When: July!
Please use the background below.
Download the Cinebench benchmark here.
Submissions must be hwbot compliant. rules
(Cpuz cpu tab, cpuz mem tab, and cinebench windows shown)

Required! Post a picture of your system!!!.

Submission of results to hwbot is encouraged, but not required.

This will be a fun competition between forum members. Results will be categorized by the number of cores used. The winner will be determined by taking the top score from each core count class, then, the class with the least number of submissions will get 1st place, the score class with the second lowest number of submissions will be 2nd, etc. It is perfectly legal to submit in more than one class, it is encouraged. If you have submitted in one class already, any additional submission in that class must be an improvement over your previous score. I will likely combine the submissions of 3x and 5x core in the final count, but we will see how the numbers work out. Please, no core counts higher than 8.
Please post a summary of your results like this "Name|CPU|# cores|Cooling|Score"

Nice score right off the bat, again. Please notice I did mix up the requirements a bit. I want to see a system picture for everyone. Not that I think anyone is cheating or anything, I just want to see and discuss.

Under 8 cores, 4770k will be 4 cores. Cases are boring, especially closed cases. :)

I'll be in on this for sure, love some Cinebench.

Also, what's the rule on old (within a month) scores from a system you're still using?

So wait... if the board looks like this...

1x core - 2 submissions
2x cores - 4 subs
3x cores - 3 subs
4x cores - 16 subs
8x cores - 6 subs

The winner, no matter what the score is going to be the highest score in the 1x core in my example?

Yes. Hopefully that encourages more participation in all classes. Dig out your old stuff.

On the note of old stuff, can I pop a CPU out of my server, submit for 1x, then drop it back in and submit for 2x?

Also, is there a way to run on one proc without pulling the other one out?

Thanks for the clarification.

Also, with how you have it structured, you have quad no ht competing with a quad with ht (you stated 4770k = 4c.. so is a 4670k). While that doesn't matter because of how you are picking a winner, its something to consider, that a 4770k should be in a 8c/t class, for future contests.

Thanks for starting it and I will get up a result soon enough. :)

I'm almost half-way considering competing. I could potentially submit in 1x, 2x, 3x, and 4x cores.

I'd probably get killed in 1x and 2x though, since mine are socket 939 and limited to around 2.9-3.1GHz. Do have a low-clocked AM2 dual core somewhere come to think of it though.

Might be able to do half-way decent in 4x if I put my AM3 rig back together with my Phenom II 965 Black Edition.

I've never even run Cinebench though, and I've got no familiarity with how it works.

Press the button... GO!

Not many tweaks for it really... 64bit OS and run the 64bit exe is all. :)
