When you bump up the multiplier you are just overclocking the chip. When you bump up the FSB you are overclocking everything although there are ways to keep the pci and such close to specs by using the dividers. I hope this helps

as far as everything... the pci bus, agp bus, ide, memory, processor as well as all the other parts on the board such as the chipset (both north and south bridges).

theres more parts overclocked than you probly thought.

You are usually overclocking everything (the CPU, RAM, PCI bus, AGP bus). Most motherboards have a couple of different ratios (dividers) that they use depending on what the FSB is set to. This helps to keep the PCI and AGP bus within acceptable levels.

For example: a FSB of 100 may use a 1/3 PCI ratio and a 2/3 AGP ratio, so that PCI=33 and AGP=66. A FSB of 133 may use a 1/4 PCI ratio and a 1/2 AGP ratio, so that PCI=33 and AGP=66.
