Xwindows? (newb)

I am having issues starting xwindows in slackware. Is there any documentation on setting it up?

Thanks

There's tons of documentation, just do a google search.

Slackware isn't the best choice for a newb, maybe you should start with something easier?

If you need help with it it's a lot easier if you post some info about exactly (what you want it to do, what you have done, error messages, etc) what's wrong and someone on the forum can offer advice.

Slackware is a version 8.0 that I happened to have had on cd.

My xwindows problem appears to be a video driver problem, I get a screen not found error. The video card I have is a 32mb Nvidia, Where and how would I go about getting this driver?

Thanks

NVidia's website had linux drivers, but the ones with xfree86 should sort of work.

Run your xconfig program again and make sure you're choosing the correct settings.

Does "tame the mouse" imply it does not work?
