xp 1600+ unlock question

I can only change the multiplier to whole numbers(aka. 9,10,11, etc...) after I unlocked it. Perhaps I didn't unlock it correctly and need to give it another try? or is it something else? I'm using an MSI KT3-Ultra motherboard.

Currenly running at 11.0x148=1.633

Anything higher in the fbs, it freezes, no matter the volt. (It wont boot up with the multiplier at 12. When I change the multiplier to 11.5 it still loads at 11)

Is my crucial 2100 limitting this?

Thanks in advance!

The unlock is partial- I don't remember the url, but check the AMD Unlocking FAQ thats around here: I seem to recall some info in there that may tell you which bridges didn't take.

Or you could clean it up and do it again.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll just give it another try tomorrow when I get the chance.

As for my stepping:

AGOIA0210PGW
Y80604849
Green xp 1600+

Running on this setup:
MSI KT3-Utra
AX-7 with YStech 48cfm
Crucial 2100
Geforce3 Ti200
350W Enermax PSU

It gets ~41C idle and ~49C load, is that too hot?

Thanks again!

I don't pay much attention to idle temps.....but the load is a bit high: I try to keep load temps under 46/47c- most of my rigs start having stability problems when they get up near 50c.

But Ultimately the deciding factor is: is the computer stable at 49c under load? If it will run that hot all day long and not have ANY errors or crashes then its ok.
If just one program crashes though, my first guess would be that it is temp related!
