Has anyone ever made a heatspreader out of aluminum foil. As long as your dont crumble it and keep it as flat as possible, it would be very easy to work with(altough a bit flimsy) and could be put on your system or video card RAM. This could be more applied as a video cooler if you take a fairly long peice of foil, spool it into a spiral, and space the peices out with a dab out silicone rubber. This spiral could be attached to the center of the heatspreader between the two RAM chips. THe foil would be attached to the memory with thermal epoxy.

Just a thought

hmmmm....... cheap are we? Or just lazy? well dosen't matter the metal wouldn't be thick enough to move any heat at all. keep thin metal on your fins not the base. just trust me on this one. Also aluminum foil is not made of the highest grade metal.
