P4 setup

I'm thinking about going P4 with my primary rig because I am getting pretty frustrated with my amd rig (temps). Anyway I would like peoples' recommendations for the motherboard and cpu. I want a ddr setup and something that will either outperform or be pretty close to my xp at 1.9 ghz. Probably something I would be able to overclock to abut 2.6-2.8 ghz. Thanks

Actually, your wrong there. You can't have a link to your own site but this a link to heatware which is perfectly fine. I'm sure if you were to look carefully you would see links in many peoples' sigs.

well an xp @1.9ghz is going to be hard to beat! the only you will be able to beat it is if your willing to dish out the dough! Currently a lot of people on these forums (myself included) are running at 3ghz! What's mostly everybody using? Get an Abit BD7II Raid (128 dollars at the egg) and then flash mr naturals bios on it....Then get a pentium 4 2.26B (comes for 245 @googlegear) the 2.26 runs on a 133mhz bus so it's a 17x multiplier (note you can't change them on the p4's) a lot of peopel are getting it to 3ghz and i'm 199 percent sure that it'll beat your amd rig! And the temps are high (take it from me) my chip idles at low 40's (42-43) and loaded it does 57 so don't get discouraged as long as it's stable! Intel chips can put up with a lot of punishment before they give!
