Hi ppl !

just wondering if 49/50 c idle is a high temp for a amd 1800 @ 145 fsb and 1.875v ... and like 55-56 on high gaming like q3 ... or some charge on the cpu.

i have an epox 8k3a and a volcano 7

It sounds to be correct with such a cooler, and as such perhaps a little high.

I think your temps are a tad high......

What thermal paste do you have between your CPU and heatsink?

You should be looking to drop at least 10C off those temps........

Those temps are fine. The 8k3a reads the on die sensor inside the core of the CPU. YOu will not get a 10C drop with air. Keep things under 60-65C and you will be fine.
