now he oced his 1800 and it says its an xp2100 there as u c... is this normal or is somthing messed up?

one of my friends' xp 1800's wcpuid thing is wierd..

Hmm mine is running at 1736 Mhz and it just says AMD Athlon. Maybe wincpu is just 'guessing' its a 2100+ which runs at 1733 Mhz. Maybe its Windows XP guessing? Is the CPU unlocked?
Either way theres nothing wrong with the chip.

To get any other multipliers beside the stock one you have to unlock the cpu, by connecting the L1s and filling the gap.

Well on my daul with actual MP 1800+ that are clocked at the moment to 1900+ stil show up as 1800+

Mine sez that I'm running a 1600+. My BIOS sez I'm running 2000+. I'm actually running 1800+ that's unlocked.
