HI
I was wondering if anyone could clear some things upm for me?
I`ve bought a p4b533 mobo
a p4 2.2a cpu and ddr2700 ram

The cpu runs with a fsb of 100mhz (right?)
will I have to do anything to get the ram running at its full poteinal?

Has anyone else set up system similar to this?
if so any help would be great.
Thanks gav

Set the CPU/Memory ratio to 3:4, that will run the ram at 133Mhz while the processor is at 100Mhz. Your running at PC2100 specs and still have an overhead of 33Mhz at this point because the board you bought doesn't support PC2700 speeds at stock processor speed.

If you overclock the FSB of the processor the memory bus speeds will also increase, in order to get your memory up to it's rated speed of 166Mhz you'd need to get the FSB to 124Mhz.
