Hey guys it's me!!! (Formerly known as Darryl_D )

Oh well i'm back..... simply because... guess what? My sister's college bill came today! 30,000 dollars! (DAMN!!!!!) not to meniton my brother's bill came yesterday and it was like $5000.... hmmmmm not to mention i had 2700 dollars in the bank but no more !!!! (dangit why do my brother and sister need to be so self-fish!)

Okay okay so my brother now officially has my 1.8 rig..... (NOOOO I'll miss you old fried) my sister is getting a laptop (so hopefully she'll leave her old crappy machine with me so i can work on it! ) and my amd k6-2 chip (you know the one on my socket 7 @ 600mhz) friend in hell last week so now i'm stuck with the 233 again!!! (yay!)

i was thinkin of just getting linux and then saying f*ck it all!!!
But then i came to my senses! see the good news is now that all of the expenses are out of the way (and i'm left broke to bite the dust ) i can start buidling a killer system again! (still got that budget of 600 dollars but hey good thing it's not $300 though am i right?) and cahcnes are i won't be able to order the parts till like a month and a half (need to get some money in the bank in order to spend some money right?)
So...... has anyone here gotten a look at the nforce2 lately?

(AGP8X COOL!!!!) it's suppossedly suppossed to get to 450mhz fsb easy! Pit that up with some water cooling and a chip on a board with taht chipset is going to fly! I was wondering guys should i go p4 or t-bred! (what am i saying right! AMD NOOOO)

mica ya this is DD..... and matt is right.... i am holy one (dad) said i could spend up to 600 dollars on it... BUT NO MORE!!! of course since i'm broke it'll probably take me a good month and a half to save up for it!

i just sold my 2.0a chip yesterday for $150. that would have been a good chip in the frugale flyer. im glad im not on a budget, because my new mobo, cpu, and mem cost me $538 shipped. asus p4t533 w/256 4200 rimm, and 2.26b. i can smell it.

DD, i feel so bad for U. ur sister and brother are raping u bad. I know how it feels my bro raped my cash from me too. I got into an accident and the car got towed to the junkyard. I only had liabilty so no insurance money for me. just $600 that the junkyard gave me. OK it was bad enough i lost my car, but he added instult to injury when he took that $600 and not to mention i had to pay for a first tow of $150. man did i get screwed bad. I was only 18 yrs old at that time and was living with my bro. so he was the boss back then

all the frugal flyer parts are in mica! the flyer will be up and running by the weekend!

the final tally was $550! well within the kid's budget but will the kid go amd? hmmmmmm?

he changed his name, that's not a good sign. dam it looks like dd is switching teams....

now first I want to say that I respect that you will be up and running by this weekend.....

F' this...you have a right, NO an obligation to the noobes on this forum to get this rig up and running NOW.

how dare work should interfere with my computer stuff!

that's why i didn't get this m-f'er built yet....but i will!

nah kid, look at the direction the the 1.6a is going - north! that's because it was discontinued of course, but it's up to 160+ at most places. plus, i'd rather see you get an xp over a celeron......

This is a great system for the budget minded!! You could add cash here and there for better parts even. A GF2 Ti can be found for $50 on pricewatch or a GF3Ti200 for about $80. I'd get an epox 8kha over an ECS board, a slighlty beefier PSU and maybe an Evercase(3 fans), a better heatsink for overclocking, and 256mb of DDR. You'd still be well under budget.

The Athlon XP will not disappoint you, especially if you unlock it and get it up to 1.7 or 1.8 Ghz. The superior calculating efficiency of AMD makes that the equivalent of a 2.1 or 2.2 P4, more or less depending on the benchmarks used.

Thanks to whoever sent me the Bios. When I decided to change boards to the TH7-II from the BD7-II, I forgot to change which bios version I was requesting =). I posted a request in the abit forums for the best version of mr. naturals bios for TH7-II. Thanks for your help anyways
