i have samsung pc2700 and i cant go more 168fsb a high settings

i want PC3200

recomendations plz

Corsair XMS 3200 should fit the bill nicely. What FSB will you be running at, and ram/fsb dividers, etc. I'm not totally sure, but I think Corsair XMS 3200 is designed for CAS 2.5, but they do a XMS 3000 model designed for 185 FSB CAS 2. Both of them should easily run at 185 with the tightest timings.

Corsair is shipping starting tomorrow a XMS PC3200-C2 that is pretested and guaranteed to run CL2 DDR400.

Yes, I am running 1X512Mb Samsung PC2700 DTL @ DDR400 CL2.5-6-3-3 150fsb with 3:4 memory ratio.

I think the verdict is still out on the Geil. I would want to see test run from retail samples run thru some tests.

I have been waiting for the Corsair XMS3200-C2 to hit and that is what I would recommend. I will be getting a 512Mb stick as soon as I can find one.

according to what i've read, you should be able to get a lot more out of that samsung ram.
is it genuine samsung? (samsung chips and PCB?) or just some third party OEM stuff? (same chips, but cheap PCB).

genuine samsung is usually good for at least 200mhz. higher even in some cases.

my mushkin pc3000 is running 133mhz at 1.5 5 2 2 timings without a problem. in know thats not spectacular but i can't risk raising it much higher without better cooling on the chip.
