Did I use the wrong Solder?

I measured the resistance of my longest solder job and it comes out to ~150kohms just from the solder itself.

I made this.

no, I didn't design it.
I used the solder we use to fix pipes and I'm wondering if the resistance from one side to another should be 150kohms (really high)

That was definately the wrong solder dude. You probably want 60/40 rosin core (electrical solder) to do something like that.

what you need is rosen core electronics solder. the plumbing stuff may or may not be your problem. where are you mesureing the resistance?

From one end of the yellow to the other is 100-150khoms (it changes alot.)

Actually I think it's just that line because I have a bubble of solder that's not completly fluxed with the rest of the solder. Gonna heat up the iron and smooth that out then make new tests.

I just got the multimeter's batterys today.

Where can I get a 470ohm thermistor? The shack only sells 10k ohm ones. The local electronic store doesn't even carry em, they said online. I don't know any spots online to buy comps.

I like electronics goldmine, but you can do a search for any electronics surplus store. If you're lucky, there'll even be one in your hometown that you can drive to.

As for the solder, definitely get some rosin core or some seperate liquid flux. If you get the seperate liquid flux you can save the work you already did by dribbling it on each connection and reheating them.
