HDD not removable with win XP?

I am looking at getting a lockable rack for my new hdd. It won't be switching between computers, just removed from the computer when I am away for an extended time. I see this on googlegear.com:

"Special Note about Windows XP
Due to the "Product Activation" anti-piracy feature on Microsoft's new operating system, Windows XP, hard drives with Windows XP installed cannot be mobilized. "

Now, I am assuming that is just referring to enabling a hard drive to be used on multiple machines, right? Since my hdd would not be in use on any computer except for one, I shouldn't have a problem I hope...

Nah, the product activation crap from Microsoft is keyed off of the hardware in your computer. If you change mroe than a few components in your PC, I think you have to contact Microsoft and get reactivated.

It won't matter if you only use it in one computer.

just for a second reference. What's quoted above is true.
Since you'll only be removing the hard drive and putting it back in, you're typically not changing components, so you should be good to go.

If you want more information on the product activation, check out this site.
