its about a 2 year old its running a P2 400 chip with 128 ram and its a COMPAQ DESKPRO

What he said. The compaqs are locked tight and have no real overclocking capabilities. The best use for them are pretty much what they where sold as and that is an internet surfing tool. I have worked on a couple of those and the best thing that you can do to it is put a fan on the heatsink if there isnt one and if you can, add a case fan to it. Also make sure that the power supply is clean and blow it out with a can of compressed air if it needs it. About the best thing that you can do performance wise if you want to put a few bucks into that machine is to add another 128 mb of ram, and get a PCI video card. That will make that machine feal like a brand new man and will be better than an OC by far. Good luck with your machine.
